Hardware and Software Club of CSE Department of The University of Asia Pacific arranged a day long Hardware & Software Fair-2008 in the Department premises on the 31st January 2008. 32 projects were displayed in the fair. Important hardware projects include: Automatic light control, Automatic temperature sensor, Electricity from vegetation etc. Software projects include: Computerized periodic table, Mobile based voting system, Computerized IC detection, Web based ticketing system, interesting computer games etc.

The fair was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Sekendar Ali, Acting VC of the UAP and Dr. M. Kaykobad, Prof., CSE Department, BUET attended the function as special guest.

Visitors highly appreciated all the projects developed and displayed by the students.

1st Prize: “Electronic Inverter” by Kabir Hossain, Shilpi Sarkar
2nd Prize: “Automatic Lighting Control” by Taifur Rahman (Tolstoy)
3rd Prize: “Automatic Tap” by Taifur Rahman (Tolstoy)

1st Prize:  “Computerized Periodic Table” by Ashraful Abedin
2nd Prize: “Micro Credit System” by Diponkar Roy & Nahida Sultana Chowdhury
3rd Prize: “On Line Ticketing” by Forhad Hossain
