UAP Research Excellence Award 2026

University of Asia Pacific (UAP) organized the UAP Research Excellence Award 2026 on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the UAP Auditorium, recognizing outstanding contributions to research, innovation, knowledge creation, and academic excellence.

Organized by the Institute for Research, Innovation and Development (IRID), UAP, as part of UAP's 30th Anniversary celebrations, the ceremony recognized six distinguished faculty members for their achievements in research and publications.

Gold Medal: Prof. Dr. Tanveer Ferdous Saeed, Department of Civil Engineering
Silver Medal: Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Department of Pharmacy
Bronze Medal: Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Department of Pharmacy

Three other promising researchers were also recognized with Crests and Certificates for their research achievements.

The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Chairman, UGC, as Chief Guest, with Mr. K. M. Mozibul Hoque, Chairman, BOT, UAP, as Special Guest. Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Acting Vice Chancellor, UAP, chaired the program.

The ceremony also featured the launch of the UAP Research Policy Booklet and Leaflet, a showcase of departmental research activities, and a promotional video on UAP-IRID. The initiative reflects UAP's continued commitment to quality research, Q1 and Q2 publications, innovation, and impactful knowledge creation, further strengthening its national and international academic standing.

The Welcome Address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Tanvir Ferdous Saeed, Director, IRID, while the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Prof. Dr. Irin Dewan, Co-Convener.

Members of the Board of Trustees (BoT), UAP, Vice Chancellors of different universities, UAP faculty members, officials, researchers, and distinguished guests were present at the program.
