The Entrepreneurship and Career Development Club (ECDC), Directorate of Students' Welfare (DSW), University of Asia Pacific (UAP) successfully organized bizfest 1.0, a vibrant business carnival powered by Rustic Eatery, providing student entrepreneurs with a platform to showcase their businesses, promote their brands, connect with the university community, and gain valuable entrepreneurial exposure.

Held at the UAP Plaza, the day-long festival brought together 22 student-led businesses representing a diverse range of products and services, including clothing, jewellery, watches, perfumes, electronics, food, handicrafts, and more. The event transformed the campus into a lively marketplace filled with festive energy, creativity, interaction, and entrepreneurial spirit.

A notable highlight of bizfest 1.0 was the strong participation of female student entrepreneurs, with more than 50% of the participating stalls being led by female entrepreneurs. Their presence reflected the growing involvement of UAP students in entrepreneurship and business initiatives alongside their academic pursuits.

The event was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Acting Vice Chancellor of UAP, through a ribbon-cutting ceremony. He appreciated the entrepreneurial spirit of UAP students, praised the ECDC initiative, and expressed hope that future editions of bizfest would reach an even wider audience.

bizfest 1.0 aimed to bridge the gap between student entrepreneurs and the wider UAP community by giving them a platform to showcase their products and services, connect with potential customers, receive feedback, and strengthen their brands. Throughout the day, the UAP Plaza remained vibrant with students, faculty members, university officials, guests, and entrepreneurs exploring the businesses, interacting with the participants, and enjoying the festive atmosphere of the carnival.

The closing ceremony concluded with certificates and gift boxes presented to all 22 participating businesses in recognition of their efforts. The event was supported by Rustic Eatery as Title Sponsor, Javed Mansion as Gift Partner, Wellness Studio as Event Partner, Jamuna TV as Broadcasting Partner, Infogram as Media Partner, and Twiket as Ticketing Partner.

The organizers expressed their hope that the participating ventures will continue to grow and that future editions of bizfest will inspire more UAP students to explore entrepreneurship, develop their ideas, and transform them into sustainable businesses.
With its inaugural edition bringing together 22 student-led businesses, with more than half of the participating stalls led by female entrepreneurs, bizfest 1.0 marked a promising beginning toward building a stronger culture of student entrepreneurship at the University of Asia Pacific.
