UAP BoT Member Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shariful Islam Appointed Pro-Vice Chancellor of BUET
University of Asia Pacific (UAP) proudly congratulates Professor Dr. Mohammad Shariful Islam, Member of the Board of Trustees (BoT), on his appointment as the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
His appointment marks a significant milestone and is a proud moment for the entire UAP community. It reflects his distinguished academic leadership, professional excellence, and unwavering commitment to higher education and nation-building.
Professor Dr. Islam earned his PhD in Earthquake Engineering from Saitama University, Japan, and completed JSPS Postdoctoral research at the same institution. An internationally acclaimed researcher, he specializes in bioengineering, climate-resilient infrastructure, disaster-resilient housing, and earthquake engineering. He has published 195 research works, supervised 83 postgraduate research projects, and received 29 prestigious national and international awards for his outstanding contributions to research and innovation.
