UAP Signs Expression of Interest with UiTM’s Accounting Research Institute to Foster Academic Collaboration

An Expression of Interest (EOI) was signed on September 25, 2025, between the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), Bangladesh, and the Accounting Research Institute (ARI) of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, at the UAP campus.

This marks the first step towards a partnership between UAP and ARI to foster academic excellence, joint research initiatives, and the development of dual or twinning programs.

The areas of potential collaboration include, but are not limited to, joint research projects and publications, development of joint academic programs or workshops, and the sharing of resources, expertise, and best practices.

The signing ceremony was held at the Vice Chancellor’s Conference Room at 1:30 p.m., following lunch. Professor Dr. M. A. Baqui Khalily, Dean, School of Business, UAP, and Professor Dr. Zuraidah Mohammad Sanusi, Director, ARI, UiTM, signed the EOI.

The Vice Chancellor of UAP, Professor Dr. Qumrul Ahsan, was present at the ceremony along with Ar. Ziaul Islam, Director, Office of International Affairs (OIA); Brig. Gen. (Retd.) Professor Dr. A. K. M. Nazrul Islam, Registrar, UAP; Mr. Sarwar R. Chowdhury, Head, Department of Business Administration, UAP; Dr. Nazrul Haque, ARI, UiTM; Professor Dr. Shamsad Ahmed, UAP; and Dr. G. M. Shafayet Ullah, UAP.
