
Md. Sultan Mahmud is preparing Nanomaterials samples of his Ph.D. research works in the Materials Science Centre, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam.
Md. Sultan Mahmud has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Physics for the thesis titled “Study of Structural and Magnetic Characteristics of Cr Substituted Fe-based Nanocrystalline Alloys” from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), says a press release.
The research work was carried out under the joint supervision of Professor Dr. S. S. Sikder, Department of Physics, KUET, and Dr. A.K.M. Abdul Hakim, Chief Engineer, Materials Science Division of the Atomic Energy Centre, Dhaka (AECD). The research work was financed by the International Programme for Physical Sciences (IPPS), Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden.
Professor Dr. Per Nordblad, Department of Engineering Sciences, Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden and Professor Dr. G. M. Bhuiyan, Department of Physics, University of Dhaka were external Examiners of his thesis.
Sultan Mahmud is the only son of Md. Solaiman Hossain and Mrs. Rasheda Begum of Village Mothurapurr, upazila Dhunot , district Bogra.
