UAP Prof Tanveer Ferdous Saeed elected BAS Associate Fellow

 

Dr. Tanveer Ferdous Saeed, Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), has been elected as an Associate Fellow of Bangladesh Academic of Sciences (BAS).

He has been elected the fellow in its 5th BAS Council held on 2nd December, 2020. Professor Dr. Saeed will be inducted as BAS Associate Fellow in the next AGM to be held on 19 December 2020.

An associate fellowship of the academy, the academic body of scientists and technologists of the country, is an honorary position to contribute to Science and to the academy.

Dr. Saeed joined as an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, UAP in May, 2016 and had been promoted as a Professor in May, 2019. Prof. Dr. Saeed received many research and academic awards e.g. University Grants Commission Gold Medal 2016, University Grants Commission Award 2013. UGC author reception award 2016. Prof. Dr. Saeed is the pioneer of introducing constructed wetland systems in Bangladesh, to provide treatment of wastewaters and polluted surface waters. He published many papers in highly reputed international journals.
