UAP Law Students Shine at National Research Conferences

Students of the Department of Law and Human Rights, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), achieved outstanding success at two prestigious national law conferences.

Mehrajun Sakin and Proma Debnath, students of 3rd Year, 2nd Semester, secured the 1st Runner-Up position at the Undergraduate Law Symposium Spring 2026, organized by the Department of Law, North South University in collaboration with the Center for Legal Research, NSU.
Their research paper, titled “Abuse of Rights and the UNSC Veto: Good-Faith Obligations in Humanitarian Crises in the Post-2024 Era,” focused on a major contemporary issue in international law and was highly appreciated for its insightful presentation and critical legal analysis.

In another achievement, Razwan Ahamed, a 4th-year student of the Department, received the Outstanding Paper Award at the 3rd IUB Undergraduate Research Law Conference.
Among 40 researchers from 20 universities, his paper titled “Ensuring Dignity and Integrity of Female Bodies during Autopsy: Legal and Ethical Gaps in Bangladesh” stood out for its academic excellence and relevance.
