Seminar on 'Career Prospects for Finance Graduates'

The Club of Finance & Accounting (CFA) of the Department of Business Administration (DBA), University of Asia Pacific (UAP), has successfully organized a seminar titled "Career Prospects for Finance Graduates" on 17th August 2022. The seminar primarily focused on the career opportunities available for business graduates in the financial sector of Bangladesh.
The seminar was inaugurated by the honorable chief guest, Dr. M. A. Baqui Khalily, Professor and Dean, School of Business, UAP. Following the inaugural speech, Dr. M. A. Baqui Khalily invited the keynote speaker, Mr. Ali Imam.
Mr. Ali Imam is the CEO of EDGE AMC (Asset Management Company) Limited. He is also a co-founder of EDGE Research (an investment research company) and EDGE Ventures (a private equity & VC fund management company). Mr. Imam is a Chartered Financial Analyst and passionate investment management professional with more than a decade of experience in the financial sector of Bangladesh. Besides, he is a regular volunteer of the CFA Institute and currently acting as the Treasurer on the board of CFA Society Bangladesh.
Mr. Imam shared his experience and provided guidelines to the students who want to serve the financial sector in future. He also stressed the skills and qualities required to be a successful professional in the financial world. Mr. Imam's speech ended with an interactive question and answer session with the students.
Finally, a crest was presented to Mr. Imam, and the program came to an end with a vote of thanks, by the honorable Head of DBA, Dr. Mahbubul Haque.
