“Quest for Excellence” by the Central English Language Club

The Central English Language Club (ELC), under the Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW), proudly organized an event titled "Quest for Excellence" on April 23 at 2:00 PM. The event was held at the Central Auditorium of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) and witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members.
The program commenced with an intense quiz competition, followed by the final round of the extempore speech contest. The excitement reached its peak during the grand prize-giving ceremony, which honored the winners of the essay writing competition, quiz competition, and extempore speech contest.

The event was graced by distinguished judges, including ELC Adviser Mr. Nurul Ahad, former ELC Adviser Dr. Afroza Aziz Shuchana, and former ELC Presidents Jannat Hossain Khan, Rehnuma Shahrin Rasha, and Shariun Nahar Rimun. Their presence added prestige to the occasion and served as a source of inspiration for the participants.
The Head of the Department of English, Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury, also attended the event. In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation for the club’s consistent efforts in fostering language proficiency and promoting academic excellence among students.
The program concluded successfully at 4:00 PM, leaving attendees inspired and motivated to continue striving for excellence in English language and communication.

Event Outcome: The "Quest for Excellence: Inter-Departmental English Championship 2025" successfully achieved its objectives of encouraging intellectual development, enhancing communication skills, and promoting healthy competition among UAP students. More than 100 participants from various departments took part in the essay writing, quiz, and extempore speech competitions, showcasing exceptional creativity, critical thinking, and confidence.
The event not only recognized and rewarded top talents with a total prize pool of 28,000 BDT, but also inspired a wider student body to engage in future academic and co-curricular initiatives organized by the English Language Club.
