The HR Excellence Club of the Department of Business Administration (DBA), University of Asia Pacific (UAP), hosted an insightful workshop titled “Case Matrix: Crack the Method of Case Solving” on November 12, 2024, at the UAP auditorium.
The workshop, aimed at enhancing students' case-solving abilities, was led by Mr. Ashraf Uz Zaman, Associate Manager at a leading private bank in Bangladesh. Mr. Zaman, known for his expertise in case competitions and real-world problem-solving, shared valuable strategies for tackling complex case studies. His session focused on practical and actionable techniques to simplify the process of case analysis.
Throughout the workshop, Mr. Zaman covered a range of essential topics, including team-building strategies, effective time management, structured thinking, strategic research methods, and decision-making criteria. He stressed the significance of participating in both national and international case competitions and shared personal experiences from his university days, offering practical tips to avoid common pitfalls in case-solving.
The session was designed to be interactive, with Mr. Zaman actively engaging with participants and encouraging them to think analytically and creatively. He motivated students to adopt a "think beyond the case" approach and provided insights into renowned case competitions in Bangladesh, inspiring them to reach for excellence.
The event commenced with an opening speech by Ms. Farzana Elahi, Assistant Professor in the DBA and Club Advisor, who welcomed the participants. Ms. Misha Newar, Lecturer and Club Advisor, presented a flower bouquet to Mr. Zaman as a token of appreciation. The workshop concluded with a closing speech by Associate Professor Dr. Mahbubul Haque, who also presented a token of gratitude to Mr. Zaman for his invaluable contribution to the workshop.
The event ended with a group photograph featuring distinguished speakers, faculty members, and enthusiastic students. The workshop successfully equipped students with the skills and knowledge to approach case-solving challenges with confidence and creativity.
