UAP arranges virtual discussion on the National Mourning Day 2021

The Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW), University of Asia Pacific (UAP), arranged a virtual discussion meeting on 15th August 2021 to observe the National Mourning Day and 46th anniversary of martyrdom of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Mr. C. M. Shafi Sami, Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT), UAP, delivered the inaugural speech as the chief guest. The commemorative meeting was also addressed by Mr. Qayum Reza Chowdhury, Member, BOT, Professor Dr Abu Sayeed M. Ahmed, Dean, School of Environmental Sciences and Design, Air Cdre (Retd.) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer and Director, DSW; while Professor Dr Md. Sultan Mahmud, Acting Vice Chancellor, UAP delivered the closing remarks.

The event was attended by a number of BOT members, Mr. Abdullah Al Masud, Registrar; Deans, Heads, Faculty members, students and staff.

Prayers were offered for the salvation of the departed souls of all those great sons and daughters of the soil who were martyred by the assassins on August 15, 1975.
