Best Paper Award in ICCESD 2024

In the 7th International Conference on Civil Engineering for Sustainable Development (ICCESD 2024) organized by Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) (7th- 9th Feb 2024), The article titled (outcome of UG Thesis) “ATTENUATION OF EARTHQUAKE INDUCED VIBRATION OF BUILDING STRUCTURE USING FLOATING SAND FILLED BALLS IN TUNED LIQUID COLUMN DAMPER” presented by Aporajita Barua, a recent graduate of the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Asia Pacific has won the Best Paper Award (Among 120+ paper) in the combined field of Structural Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering & Construction Engineering Management. The article was supervised by Mohammad Sabbir Rahman, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, University of Asia Pacific.

The co-authors of the papers Md. Tareq Aziz, Sudip Kirtonia & Md. Mishkatur Rahman, are also the students of the department.

It is a great honor to win this award for the University of Asia Pacific amongst so many presented papers from all across the country. We congratulate Mr. Sabbir and his students for this achievement.
