Intra University Debating and Public Speaking Championship, Fall – 2021 held at UAP

UAP Debating and Public Speaking Club (DPSC) organized the "Intra-University Debating and Public Speaking Championship, Fall- 2021" at its campus. On 11 April 2022, the program was inaugurated by Air Cdre (retd.) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Director, DSW. Afterward, a debate session was arranged by DPSC and conducted by Mr. Md. Roman Uddin, Former Vice President, Dhaka University Debating Society (DUDS). On 12 April 2022, a workshop on Public Speaking was conducted by Mr. Md. Shah Newaj, Former Vice President of Bangabandhu Hall Debating Club.

The preliminary and semi-final rounds of the Championship were held from 17 April 2022 to 18 April 2022. Among 8 teams, Team Averna and Team Lawyer’s Express qualified for the final debate competition and 5 participants among 20 qualified for the final round of the public speaking.

Prof. Dr. Qumrul Ahsan, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, UAP graced the Grand Finale of the Championshio-Fall 2021 as the Chief Guest on 21 April 2022 at UAP auditorium. He delivered the crests to the Champion Team- The Lawyer’s Express, the runner-up team and the winners of the public speaking category.

Among others, the event was attended by Air Cdre (Retd.) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Director, DSW, Dr. Chowdhury Ishrak Ahmed Siddiky, Head of Department of Law and Human Rights, and Ms. Nazia Wahab, Assistant Professor, Department of L&HR and Adviser of DPSC were present.
