The Grand Finale and Prize-Giving Ceremony of the "Intra-department Oral Presentation Competition"

The Grand Finale and Prize-Giving Ceremony of the Intra-department Oral Presentation Competition, organized by the Entrepreneurship and Career Development Club (ECDC) of Department of Pharmacy, was held on 16th October 2022 at 3.30 pm at the UAP Auditorium, University of Asia Pacific. The theme of the Competition program was “Pharmacist: Contributing to Global Health”.

The event was joined by Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Dean, School of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Head, Department of Pharmacy, Prof Dr. SM Ashraful Islam, and faculty members and students of the Department of Pharmacy. Ms. Nishat Jahan, Assistant Professor and Club Advisor started the program with a welcome speech on behalf of the Entrepreneurship and Career Development Club. In her speech, she gave a brief introduction to the club and thanked Club Convener, Faisal Abdullah Emon, Lecturer and all the members of ECDC for organizing the program.

Then the final round of the presentation competition began where the five finalist teams, previously selected from a preliminary round, presented their ideas. Ms. Waheeda Nasreen, Assistant Professor, Dr. Syed Masudur Rahman Dewan, Assistant Professor and Md. Robin Khan, Lecturer were present in the judges’ panel. After the presentation session, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahriar spoke about the importance of presentation and discussed about some ways students can improve their presentation skills. Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan also shared his thoughts about the program and highlighted the importance of such programs and workshops for students’ career development.

A brief prize-giving ceremony then took place where Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahriar and Prof Dr. Ashraful Islam announced the names of the winners and handed over crests and certificates to them.
