Photophilic organizes Photo Exhibition

Photophilic, the Photography Club of the Department of Pharmacy, UAP has organized a two-day long photography exhibition (both Mobile and DSLR/SLR category) on 12th and 13th October at UAP plaza.

The program was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Qumrul Ahsan on 12th October. The event was glorified by the presence of Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Adviser of Photophilic and Dean, School of Medicine; Professor Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Head, Department of Pharmacy; Professor Dr. Swarnali Islam Khandaker, Controller of Examinations and ex-head, Department of Pharmacy; Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury, Director, DSW, UAP and club coordinator Dr. Zabun Nahar, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy as well as all the respected faculty members of Pharmacy Department.

During the inaugural session, the Vice Chancellor spoke about the importance of this type of event and also advised to arrange an inter university photography competition.

Out of 400 photographs, 62 were selected by Judge, Mr. Md. Tanvir Murad, Head of Photography Department, Pathshala and among them he finalized the name of the winners. The final event was begun with the announcement of 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners in both category and a combined winner on 13th October.

Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Sultan Mahmud addressed the closing session as the chief guest while Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Dean, School of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Head, Department of Pharmacy, Dr. Irin Dewan, Associate Professor and also th faculty members of Pharmacy Department attended the program. Club coordinator, Dr. Zabun Nahar thanked the President, Vice President and all the club members in her concluding speech.
