UAP Social Awareness Club organizes Blood Donation Campaign

UAP Social Awareness Club in collaboration with Quantum Foundation organized a “Blood Donation Campaign” on 19th October 2023. The event was inaugurated by Dr. A.S.M. Mohsin, Director of the Directorate of Student Welfare (DSW), University of Asia Pacific.

The campaign started at 9:30 AM in the morning and continued up to 4.00 PM. A total of 90 students were screened for donating blood but 52 were able to donate blood in this campaign from the Department of Pharmacy, CE, English, DBA, EEE, Architecture, CSE, and Law and Human Rights. With the endless diligence, dedication, and cooperation of all the volunteers, the event concluded successfully.

Donors who have donated blood in this campaign three consecutive times were awarded a crest as an expression of our gratitude for their kindness. A total of five donors have been awarded crests by Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Dean of the School of Medicine, University of Asia Pacific. He also donated blood to inspire the students.

Mahjabeen Gazi, Advisor, UAP Social Awareness Club said that the event was a success because of the tireless enthusiasm and team effort of all the members, volunteers, and donors of the club.
