UAP alumni Md. Safayat Hosain receives “Yunus&Youth Global Fellowship 2021”

Md. Safayat Hossain, a graduate of Civil Engineering Department, University of Asia Pacific (UAP), receives the prestigious “Yunus&Youth Global Fellowship 2021” for developing an idea of low-cost, fast composting of organic waste to fertilizer.

Mr. Safayat is the third Bangladeshi to get this fellowship, which will allow him to engage with the Yunus & Youth team, which was founded by Nobel Laureate Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yunus to solve this global issue. Mr. Safayat is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering at Ondokuz Mayis University in Samsun, Turkey, under a Turkish government scholarship.

This year only 26 social enterprises and 39 young social entrepreneurs were chosen for the Y&Y Global Fellowship Program in 2021, out of 2,698 submissions from 130 countries.
