Seminar on “Supply Chain Management in Pharmaceutical Industries” organized by Department of Pharmacy

A seminar titled "Supply Chain Management in Pharmaceutical Industries" organized by the Seminar Organizing Committee, Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific, was held on August 4, 2022 at the UAP auditorium.

Mr. Md. Mahbubul Karim, Executive Director of Supply Chain Management at Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd., was present as the guest speaker of the seminar. The convener of the Seminar Organizing Committee, Prof. Dr. Swarnali Islam Khandaker, started the program with a welcome speech on behalf of the Seminar Organizing Committee. Professor Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Head, Department of Pharmacy, and other faculty members also joined the program.

Mr. Md. Mahbubul Karim provided a comprehensive overview of how the pharmaceutical industry's supply chain is operated, managed, and maintained. Additionally, he discussed the shortcomings of several important supply chain variables and gave some planning techniques that would assist future workers in resolving unforeseen issues. This was then followed by an interactive question and answer session.

Later, Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Dean, School of Medicine shared his appreciation for the speaker in his speech. Finally, Professor Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Head, Department of Pharmacy, ended the program with a vote of thanks. In his speech, he thanked the guest speaker, Md. Mahbubul Karim, for his informative session; Prof. Dr. Swarnali Islam Khandaker; Ms. Nishat Jahan; and Ms. Ramisa Anjum for organizing this seminar; and all the faculty members and students for their enthusiastic participation.
