Prof. Dr. Sheikh Anwar Hossain joins as Treasurer of UAP

Prof. Dr. Sheikh Anwar Hossain joined as the Treasurer of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP).

Prof. Anwar joined as the Treasurer of the University of Asia Pacific by the order of the President Mohammed Shahabuddin, who is also Chancellor of the university.

He has been appointed as the Treasurer of the university for the next 4 years as per Private University Act, 2010, 33 (1). Dr. Anwar was the Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics, Gono Bishwabidyalay, who obtained his BSc, MSc in Mathematics from University of Dhaka and completed his M.Phil in Mathematics from BUET. He was awarded PhD in Mathematics from Jahangirnagar University.

Prof. Dr. Sheikh Anwar Hossain Started his career as an officer in Accounts Department of Bangladesh Bank.

Prof. Anwar working since Jan 26, 1991 in various government colleges of Bangladesh. In his 30 years of teaching and administrative experience, he worked in Narail Government Victoria College, Jagannath University (Jagannath College), BL University College Khulna, Iswardi Government College Pabna, Govt. Titumeer College Dhaka, Govt. Shahid Suhrawardi College Dhaka, Govt Haraganga College Munsiganj, Rajbari Govt College, Govt Gazaria College Munsiganj.

Prof. Dr. Sheikh Anwar Hossain participated in training on Mathematics at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India in 2000 and at Technical University (TU) Berlin, Germany in 2011. He also participated in the international workshop on Environment in Bhutan in 2018 and international conference APQN-2022 in Singapore.
