Webinar on “Looking at M. Pharm through Employer's Eyes'' organized ECDC of the Department of Pharmacy

The Entrepreneurship and Career Development Club (ECDC) of the Department of Pharmacy of University of Asia Pacific organized a webinar titled, "Looking at M. Pharm through Employer's Eyes'' on 26th September, 2021 at 7:00 pm. The program was live-streamed on Facebook from the page of ECDC, Department of Pharmacy. Mr. Milan Mahboob, DGM of Quality Operations Department, Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Mr. Ahsan Ullah Khan, Product Promotion- Manager of Strategic Marketing Department, Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Limited were present as the guest speakers.

The webinar started with a welcome speech from Dr. Md. Rabiul Islam, Assistant Professor and Advisor of ECDC Club, and was moderated by Ms. Lamia Alam, General Secretary of ECDC Club. In the webinar, the guests discussed about the various career prospects of M. Pharm degree in pharmaceutical companies. Mr. Milan Mahboob highlighted the importance of M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Technology in Production and Quality Assurance department. Mr. Ahsan Ullah Khan explained the scope of M. Pharm degree in Pharmacology in the marketing department of pharmaceutical companies. He also discussed about personal development and CV writing. Both of the guests encouraged students on pursuing M. Pharm in Pharmacology for research based career and toxicology studies.

Finally, Professor Dr. Mohammad Shahriar, Head, Department of Pharmacy thanked the guest speakers and in his speech he also shared his insights and discussed the different dimensions of M. Pharm in Technology and Pharmacology worldwide and across the country. He encouraged individual personal interest and informed everyone about the M. Pharm in Pharmacology degree that is expected to open from next year. He concluded the program by thanking the guests; Dr. Md. Rabiul Islam, Assistant Professor and Aadvisor, ECDC Club; Ms. Nishat Jahan Assistant Professor and Convener, ECDC Club and all the members of Entrepreneurship and Career Development Club (ECDC) and the participants of the webinar.
