ECDC organized ‘Meet the CEO’- Spring 2022

UAP Entrepreneurship and Career Development Club (ECDC) organized a program titled 'Meet the CEO’ on 18 October 2022 at the UAP Auditorium.

Mr. Golam Murshed, CEO of Walton was the keynote speaker of the program. More than 250 students from different departments participated the session with full enthusiasm.

The program began with a brief welcome address by the Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury, Director, DSW. Then the Chief Guest of the program honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qumrul Ahsan addressed the gathering. He thanked the CEO of Walton for his valuable presence. The UAP Vice Chancellor noted that that an entrepreneurial mindset and innovative ideas are prerequisites to successful start-ups. He added that, incubation is required to have in all university-level educational institutes where interested students will get the opportunity to be groomed properly.

The Keynote Speaker Mr. Golam Murshed shared his inspiring journey from his School life to becoming the CEO of Walton, a Bangladeshi conglomerate. He focused on the power of the subconscious mind and self-confidence to find out the best from within every individual. He said that once the right career path is found, life can be changed. Mr. Murshed motivated the students to believe in themselves, and to continue their self-exploration. His presentation was followed by a Question and Answer round. Mr. Murshed awarded three students who responded to the questions he asked to the audience.

The program ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Mohammad Rakiv, Assistant Professor of DBA and the Adviser of ECDC.
