University of Asia Pacific (UAP) have stepped forward to engage in emergency flood relief efforts

In response to the devastating flood situation affecting various parts of the country, students and faculty members of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) have stepped forward to engage in emergency flood relief efforts on humanitarian grounds.

Students from different departments at UAP coordinated by Ahmed Tausif Saad, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration have come together to assist the victims of the recent floods that have struck several districts in Bangladesh. They have formed three teams to carry out rescue operations and arrange food in the flood-affected areas. These teams are actively working in Noakhali and Feni to provide rescue services and essential supplies. One team reached Feni with three boats the day before yesterday, focusing their rescue efforts around Dagonbhuiyan. Another team arrived in Noakhali yesterday from the UAP campus, bringing dry food for 200 families. These supplies have been handed over to the Red Crescent for distribution in shelters across the flooded areas. They are also arranging lunch for 1,000 people today. Additionally, a part of this team is joining the rescue operation in Dagonbhuiyan, bringing more life jackets, buoys, and raincoats to strengthen their efforts

Given the severe shortage of dry food in Noakhali, another UAP team is operational in Dhaka, working to procure, manage, and transport additional supplies to Noakhali.

Apart from these, students and alumni from different departments are collecting donations at UAP premise and forming teams and heading out to different flood affected zones in and around Cumilla, Noakhali and Feni.
