UAP Central Football Club organized the Inter-Department Football Tournament, Spring 2023

The UAP Central Football Club proudly hosted the 'Inter-Department Football Tournament, Spring 2023,' a spirited sporting event that unfolded from September 28 to September 29, 2023, at the BUET Playground. This tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from teams representing all eight academic departments within the university.

The grand inauguration of the tournament, conducted under the patronage of Honourable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Qumrul Ahsan, unfolded at 8:30 am on September 28, 2023. Professor Dr. Qumrul Ahsan, graced the event as the Chief Guest and enjoyed the excitement of the opening match. Alongside him, Prof. Dr. Sheikh Anwar Hossain, Treasurer, UAP and Dr. A.S.M. Mohsin, Director, DSW, added prestige to the occasion as Special Guests.

The pinnacle of the tournament, featuring the thrilling final match and the prestigious prize-giving ceremony, unfolded on September 29, 2023, at the same BUET Playground. Honourable Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Sultan Mahmud presided over the event as the Chief Guest, while Prof. Dr. Sheikh Anwar Hossain, Treasurer, UAP, Brigadier General A K M Nazrul Islam, Registrar, UAP, and Dr. A.S.M. Mohsin, Director, DSW lent their presence as Special Guests. In a fiercely contested final, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering emerged victorious, defeating the Department of Law & Human Rights with a score of 2-0. The match, enlivened by ardent supporters from both sides, added an extra layer of excitement and enjoyment to the proceedings.

The successful organization of this tournament was coordinated by Mr. Md. Zakaria Bhuian, a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering, and also the Adviser to the UAP Central Football Club. Among others, the tournament was also attended by Mr. Md. Tarek Khan, AD, DSW and Ms. Aktarun Yesmin, AAO, DSW.
