Orientation Program for New Faculty Members held at UAP

A two day-long orientation program (Fall-2022) for newly appointed faculty members of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) was held on 29 & 30 January 2023.

Dr. M. Alauddin, Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT), UAP, Professor Dr. Qumrul Ahsan, Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr. Md. Sultan Mahmud, Pro Vice Chancellor addressed the program.

In his speech, Dr. M. Alauddin said that ‘teachers’ responsibility is not only to impart knowledge to students but also to teach the techniques of learning knowledge. He advised the faculty members to be conscious about punctuality to start anything on time and finish on time.’

Addressing the orientation, Professor Dr. Qumrul Ahsan stressed on quality education and its impact on the faculty members. He advised new faculty members to give effort in maintaining the standard of higher education. He said that ‘teachers have to motivate students in learning knowledge while he also shared his personal experience as a teacher.’
