Central English Language Club organizes Workshop on Public Speaking

UAP Central English Language Club successfully organized a workshop titled ‘Break the Barriers: A Workshop on Mastering the Art of Public Speaking’ on the 9th April 2023 at the UAP auditorium. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Shahnawaz Hossain Jay, an education consultant and IELTS instructor. He is also the Founder of The English Republic and co-founder of EduXpert.

The Director of DSW, Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury inaugurated the workshop attended by more than 250 students from different departments of the university. The Director, along with Ms. Afroza Aziz Suchana, an Assistant Professor of the Department of English and Adviser, UAP Central English Language Club welcomed the guest with tokens of appreciation.

In his session, Mr. Jay shared numerous ways to become a better public speaker; he demonstrated vocal and breathing exercises that can help with better articulation during speaking and shared some strategies that can greatly help in mastering the art of public speaking. He also spoke about the hurdles that he faced while speaking in front of the public and how he successfully overcame them. The activities done during the session kept the audience thoroughly engaged. The workshop ended with a Q&A session.

The workshop was very well-received by the participants. At the end, the club Advisor Ms. Afroza Aziz Suchana thanked everyone especially the facilitator for the time and effort he invested for the session organized by the UAP Central English Language Club.

The workshop yielded a very positive feedback from the participants, which is a testament to the quality of the presentation and enthusiasm. Among others, the workshop was attended by Mr. Md. Tarek Khan, Assistant Director, DSW.
