Department of Business Administration organizes seminar on “Communication Skills for Job hunting”

The Department of Business Administration, University of Asia Pacific (UAP) has successfully organized a seminar titled “Communication Skills for Job hunting” on 13th October 2022. The seminar primarily focused on the communication skills required by business students to be successful in securing a job.

The keynote Speaker for the event was Mr. A.K Ahmed Mostafa, Consultant and Project Focal Point, The World Bank. Mr. A.K. Ahmed Mostafa is a development and education Sector specialist who has been working in various capacities in the last 6 years.

The session focused on the basics of preparing resumes, cover letters and building a proper LinkedIn account while being a 2nd or 3rd year student, as well as effective ways to build network to ensure connections for mutual growth in the long run. Additionally, he spoke about real life examples and the practical scenario students face while applying as freshers. The session was truely engaging thanks to the very inquisitive and practical questions asked by the participants.

Finally, a crest was presented to Mr. A.K. Ahmed Mostafa, and the program came to an end with a vote of thanks by Ahmed Tausif Saad, Assistant Professor, DBA.
