The research team of the Department of Pharmacy has successfully completed both the phases of our joint research project to identify the substandard and falsified medicine in Bangladesh in collaboration with Kanazawa University (started from 2018).
The Principal Investigator (PI) of this project for Bangladesh Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Dean, School of Medicine, UAP attended the wrap up meeting with Prof. Dr. Kazuko Kimura, PI for Japan, in Kanazawa University. The co-investigator of this project, Dr. Md Selim Reza, Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Dhaka University, also accompanied.
Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan presented current research activities of UAP in the meeting. He also met the Dean of Pharmaceutical Sciences Faculty, Prof. Dr. Yukio Kato to continue UAP-KU collaboration. He gladly accepted the proposal and assured for the fruitful upcoming research collaboration with UAP.
Prof. Bhuiyan also visited Osaka University and met Prof. Dr. Satoshi Obika, Dean, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He visited different laboratories of Organic Chemistry Synthesis, Biological and Molecular Biological lab.
