Walton Digi-Tech Industries Ltd., a prominent tech industry in Bangladesh, has selected students from the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) to serve as Campus Ambassadors coordinated by the Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW), UAP. This initiative is part of Walton Digi-Tech's nationwide Campus Ambassador program, spanning multiple universities.
The final phase of the selection process unfolded on January 14, 2024, at the Walton Corporate Office in Bashundhara, Dhaka. The top five students from UAP, alongside representatives from JU, BUP, CUET, AUST, AIUB, and DIU, showcased their prowess in Business Case Studies. The distinguished panel, featuring the Honorable Chairman of Walton Digi-tech, S M Rezaul Alam, Additional Managing Director Md. Liakat Ali Bhuiyan, and Chief Business Officer Md. Touhidur Rahman Rad, alongside faculty members, esteemed guests, and students from various universities, keenly observed this competitive event.
Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury, former Director of the Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW) and Associate Professor of the Department of English at UAP, represented UAP at the program. He was accorded the honor of delivering a speech at the closing ceremony of the event, where he emphasized the significance of such initiatives by Walton and commended the extraordinary potential inherent in our young generation. Mr. Chowdhury also highlighted UAP's commitment to nurturing excellence, both academically and on broader stages outside the traditional classroom setting.
After a rigorous three-stage selection process, two outstanding UAP students emerged as the chosen Campus Ambassadors: Isaac Apurbo Sarker (Registration No.: 22216058) from the Department of English and Sadi Mahmud Annon (Registration No.: 21202051) from the Department of Business Administration. This accomplishment underscores the remarkable caliber of UAP students and their ability to shine on a competitive platform. Their appointment as Campus Ambassadors of Walton reflects the university's dedication to cultivating talent and offering students avenues to showcase their capabilities.
