Department of Business Administration arranges webinar on “An Orientation to Business Analytics’’

Department of Business Administration, University of Asia Pacific (UAP) arranged a Webinar on ‘An Orientation to Business Analytics’. The Webinar was conducted by Mr. Imran Selim, Data Scientist, Koch Industries Inc., Kansas, USA.

At the beginning of the Webinar, the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Dr. Mahbubul Haque welcomed the resource person and the participants. He emphasized on the importance of Business Analytics and data science and the applications of these tools among the business organizations. He wished that the skills on these software and tools will enrich the portfolio of students’ profile. He also hoped to continue this endeavor to arrange such webinar in the coming days.

The resource person of the Webinar Mr. Imran Selim, throughout his session showed the different aspects of Business Analytics, the tremendous usage of this handy tool among the business organizations, the role of a data scientist. He tried to make the session as much interactive as possible by taking questions from the participants where appropriate. He even demonstrated how the tool of business analytics works using the participants’ data as input.

The Webinar was attended by students and faculties from different departments. The Webinar was an initiative from Webinar Organizing Committee, DBA, UAP.
